As stated by Gary Craig, the Founder of Emotional Freedom Technique, “The cause of all negative emotion is a disruption in the body’s energy system.”
EFT is based on the ancient art of Accupuncture where fine needles are used to release blockages in the energy/meridian system. With EFT, stimulating the meridian points on the body by tapping with fingers while “tuned into” the problem, has the ability to clear the body’s energy system and promote balance.
If we are emotionally well balanced, our energy flows freely and we enjoy good health, happiness and we feel good. If our energy is blocked by trauma, unpleasant events or memories, then we don’t feel so good, resulting in life seeming difficult and a struggle.
EFT has the ability to unblock our meridians (energy pathways) and reduce the emotional impact of memories and events that trigger emotional distress. EFT does not erase the memory but more importantly, our response to uncomfortable emotions. It’s not necessary during the session to disclose any details to me about the issue that you find uncomfortable. EFT will work regardless. EFT can also be used in conjunction with medication and other complementary therapies.

What to expect in a session
Initially, we establish and clarify what you want to change, and we identify what you want to achieve.
The sessions are solution focussed and my aim is to assist you in resolving your particular issues in the shortest time possible.
It is generally becoming accepted that emotional conflict can contribute to physical imbalance and illness. The mind is not separate from the physical body and it follows that if we can reduce our response to mental conflict using EFT, physical health and well being is restored.
